Driver side window issue

Post by Wimarth » Tue Jan 31, 2017 7:43 pm

Hi

I have an 08 e70. About a year ago I noticed my driver side window control wasn't working during one trip. It came back the next time I drove the car and was for a while until Jan when the fault occurred more regularly. I'm now at a point where I can't control windows or mirrors from the driver side control.

All of the other window switches work and if I hold unlock/lock on key all windows open and close. The driver switch is getting power as it is illuminated, and today I installed a "new" used switch I bought off ebay. The problem persists.

Does anyone have an idea what the problem may be??

Thanks

Mark

Check the wiring connectors for water intrusion and corrosion would be my first check.  A bit of Duck Oil or WD40 will help with the water rejection.
