For information :
BMW E53 headlights were splitable with heat up to OCTOBER 2002, after this date they used a glue which made it impossible to split them,
unless you used a grinder to cut the glue out.
To be on the safe side I look for zenon lights pre May 2002. BMW date stamp their lights with a small( about 1/2 inch diameter date clock) on
the rear of the headlight.

Hey Lez, thanks for sharing that helpful info about the BMW E53 headlights! It's always good to know those little details when working on your ride. Definitely gonna keep an eye out for those zenon lights pre-May 2002, sounds like a safer bet. Keep dropping those knowledge bombs, bro!
