Fantastic. Well, apart from the colour of course  >:D :))

X5Sport and you will be even bigger bum chums now  :P
Did you both get massive discounts due to the colour?  >:D  :))
Not much in the way of discount, but it had by far the highest spec on BMWs approved site for the money, so in a roundabout way, yes.  :)

Vermillion red sounds good to me!  Looking forward to seeing the pics - details of iDrive screens would be interesting - always enjoy seeing how far things have improved since I bought mine.  (Hmmm...)
Enjoy!!!

Cheers AW8, needless to say I can't wait!  I did post a link to the dealers video earlier in the thread but I'll post here for the practice.

Well done - sounds like you've got a great car there!  Does yours by any chance have wheelbarrow handles at the rear like X5Sport's?  :))  >:D
The car did have square pipes
I can see a very depressed X5Sport in the near future if that is true  :))

Please post many, many pictures of the back of the Red X6 please  >:D

It bugs me that to save pennies on a few drops of paint the rear diffuser cover comes primer coloured as standard.

I had my local bodyshop colour code the one on my 40d and have 2 options for the 50d (which may or may not also appeal to you)
- either buy the BMW professional rear diffuser kit (if it fits) which includes a larger carbon diffuser; or wrap the diffuser myself with Avery wrap - which I understand is the vinyl of choice for professional vehicle wrappers.  The latter method gives you access to an extensive colour palette, and costs around 20 quid on Fleabay (but make sure its the Avery gear, and that you use a squeegee with felt on one side so you don't mark up the vinyl on tight corners).

Once again, enjoy  8)

You need to get those handles extended a bit - wouldn't be much use in a breakdown like that!

Yep you'll enjoy the car enormously.  First time I gave mine the beans was a memorable experience - pulling so hard in something so heavy.  The X6 has better cornering due to some whizzy diff technology that the X5 doesn't have.  Not sure what difference it makes mind - and I'd be unlikely to find out as I invariably have young boys in the car so won't drive too hard...

Well the wife has phoned to say that she's just had a close call with a young lad pulling out in front of her.  :upset:  She was that close when he pulled out that even slamming on the brakes she pulled up in front of the other car.  On getting out to inspect the wife said that she couldn't even get her hand in the gap between the two cars.

That could have caused problems as the car is due to be handed over on Saturday.  :'(
