How do people wash their cars?

I was just wondering how people wash their cars. I've become increasingly OCD with car cleanliness over the years, so I was just wondering what others do?

Edit: I have now found the poll option

Laziness is dictating that I go from (e) to (c)

Thanks, I've found the poll option now. Do you use a foam lance with a hosepipe, or do you have the pressure washer add on?

Bucket of hot water with fairy liquid and a sponge! Or the hand car wash outfit at the garage if I can't be bothered.
Is that bad? Should I be using a lance?

It has the word fairy in it and fairies are sweet and harmless! But after looking online it would appear a bad idea and takes off any protective treatments. Won't use it anymore  :)

Because I'm rich, good looking and am a massive knob, I pay people to regularly wash my car for me

My Dad used to use fairy for years and he never considered the damage it was doing but looking back all his cars suffered from terrible rust and it now makes sense when I think about it, I have been using a car shampoo for years myself but admit in the early days I did do what my dad did too.

Non OEM (bought through Ultimate Finish) Lance attached to my pressure washer and then the two bucket method.

Looks like you use the same as my wife.  Her Mother frequently reminds her that the kitchen is full of unused gadgets...... :))

That is a stunning amount of cleaning products...love it.  8) agree though and that set up does look too good to actually use.

Cut down version for quick washes.

Firstly use Bilberry to soak in to wheels.
Use a little more after about 5 minutes and jet wash off.
If required apply some more and use Vikan extended brush to do the insides of the wheels and back of spokes.

Snow foam attached to jet wash to give a nice coating and allow to dwell.
Use varied brushes to go round badges etc.
Jet wash off.

Use 2 bucket method with grit guards and 2 separate mitts.
Jet wash off and rinse over with DI vessel water and allow to dry.
