Lurchy when cold :o ideas and thoughts ?Autobox?

Noticed tonight when leaving work that the X5 40d when asked to reverse out of my slightly uphill bay on low throttle went all lurchy (like a car that thinks its stalling). And at the bottom of the work driveway also felt lurchy on light throttle pulling onto the roundabout.

Now when in drive i find this gearbox lazy in normal and like a cat on hot bricks in sport?

When warm i cant replicate the issue. Im in mid wales so its not the tundra for thick oil and no issues on check box thingy

Does anyone know of any common issues causing this? or has my dream of having a nice car end in gearbox replacement. :O. And btw i have shitty luck normally

Its a 10 plate LCI with the 8 speed box.

Not had that on mine, nor heard of any other owners with that sort of issue.

Its like a jerking feeling.

Could it possibly be a bit of brake bind??
Maybe a caliper sticking a bit??

Im not actually sure now its to do with the transmission.

I think its the engine running lumpy at cold start when i initially pop it into R or D and use very light throttle up to 1k rpm?

Its going for a diag tommorow and they are going to check its vitals.

:O

After diag and gearbox check they found a faulty glow plug relay that needs to be replaced? maybe this is why its only effected when cold.
