Headlight washer plate missing

Post by TomX5 » Tue Jan 26, 2016 6:11 pm

Hi All,

I noticed today that I have a (new) hole in my bumper where my drivers side headlight washer sits. The blanking plate has gone but I can't find an assembly diagram online to see the extent of repair that might be needed with the jets in the bumper.

Has anybody had experience with this?

Cheers,

Tom

Has the rest of the assemble gone too?  There was a period where the nozzle would shoot out and that was that.  New one needed.

Go to Realoem, put the last 7 of you VIN into the 'Serial Number' box and it will bring up your car version.  There should be a diagram under one of the sections - vehicle electrical system I think.  That part certainly was available as a separate item....but will need painting.

Thanks for the link - that's definitely a website to keep for reference.

Looking at the assembly diagram it looks like I've lost my nozzle too. I've ordered the cover for now with some paint from BMW (oddly enough it was cheaper than buying off eBay). I'll speak to my mechanic about getting a replacement nozzle fitted when it's in for a service.

Thanks again....
