So I noticed during the cold spell the rear heated screen wasn't good and today running some diag on another problem I found an error in the logs saying the relay is faulty. Great but where on earth is it ... I have searched this car high and low and I cannot find it or any reference to it.
Fuse box diagrams show relays for the front wipers, the rear wipers , the suspension and one just called closed circuit relay
So by my logic there must be a bunch of relays somewhere .. for fuel pump, locks, etc and I reckon in those will be this one...... Does anyone know where on an E70 it is please !!!! pulling whats left of hair out here !!!!

Two fuse boards, second one in the rear. Could be in one of the boot cubby holes - as it was with the E53. Never gone looking in mine however check right side, rear?

Apparently on BMW's when the battery voltage gets low the heated rear window won't come on, the tell tale light co es on, but no voltage is sent to the element.
CHeck your battery voltage.
Also no mention of the relay in the front fuse box.

Re: Rear Heat Screen Relay - Where is it ???
Thanks for replies... Interesting that I dropped out the front fuse box and found that even when I remove the relays and operate the switch for the heated screen I still hear a click ... I reckon the relay is embedded in the front fuse box.
Any BMW tech's out there that can confirm or clarify please??
