After I drove for about 12 hours in the rain yesterday I parked up and when selecting reverse, I got the camera malfunction message. Camera works as normal, but the message appear when I select top view or any of the other cameras. I have the 6 camera system.

I did notice a little bit of condensation in the rear view lens but that was gone this morning.

As I am in the Alps at the moment,  Very little I can do as such but it is annoying though. Message pops up each time after the camera is showing an image for about 5 seconds or so.

Thoughts?

Car was parked in the sun today and that seems to have fixed the problem somehow.

Perhaps it was just a bit chilly?

Sounds as if you have water ingress.  The sun has dried it out, but the issue will be back.

I thought you kept the car in your man cave?  Or has it been evicted by the overpriced Beetle?

I am in the Alps this week so the 12 hours drive was outside  )

Another update  - problem never returned. Must have been the French rain ....  )

French TV uses a different standard too........ :tease:
