Engine/ EGR stats

Hi guys, we had a 330d and now have a E70 3.0d, I know the common issues with the stats as I had to change them on both cars.
I did our X5 about 3.5 years ago and when I logged temps last night it had gone back to the old days when they take time to warm up.
8-10 miles on the motorway and not much over 70degs, in the end it did get up to 85 ish.
I guess they bound be on there way out again as the first lot only lasted 4-5 years?.
