E70 halogens

Post by StumpyPete » Sun Feb 27, 2011 1:33 pm

Had a bulb go on my X5 this morning and thought oh well never mind that'll take 5 mins to change......unfortunately not so easy! Getting to the headlight itself isn't so difficult but getting the clip back on the headlight is a complete nightmare! An hour later and the clip still isn't on, my hands are shredded from the poorly finished plastic and now I have no nearside headlight. Boy am I cheesed off, yet another piece of appallingly bad design by BMW.

got the clip into today, but it doesn't feel as though it is going to stay there, we'll see after a trip to the airport and back tomorrow if it is still there!

They are a bloody nightmare! When I changed the piss poor halogens for HIDs, I used a mirror to see what was what. It helped a bit with orientation. How do the angel eye bulbs come out?

I was thinking of putting some led bulbs in those. How do you get them out?
