Warning exclamation in a triangle with an arrow around

Post by Liamkel » Mon Jun 18, 2018 4:19 am

I have this warning light that keeps flashing on my dash when I put my foot down on the motor way, a yellow exclamation mark in a triangle with an arrow around it. It does it alot over 60 mph but occasionally does it before if I need to speed up quickly. The turbo doesn't seem to kick in when the light flashes. It only started after I had a new suspension compressor put in and 4 new tyres put on. The tyres are standard, not run flat. I did some reading and it seemed that I was okay to fit non run flats on, people seem to do it quite often but after fitting them the guy did mention he had someone fit non run flats to a BMW and he changed them as he said it messed with the sensors as the suspension isn't set for non run flat tyres. Any ideas?

Cheers

It is the ABS i think.
Could be the sensor or the ring on the shaft.

What does that mean in simpler terms?

If the tyres aren't star marked, they do cause issues for the car. The 4WD system and gearbox does not like it, so it would throw up warnings such as this, and possible transmission noise/damage.

The symbol either means DSC or ABS issues. The DSC module can fail on these, best to take a look at that. On top of that, the ABS module/sensors should be checked.

Battery tests should be done as well, bad batteries lead to issues with electronics in general.

When I press the DTC button on the dash it doesn't do it? Does this shed more light on it.

First thing you need to do is get a fault code scan done.
