foloowing on from the performance kit thread which I got all excited about, would  Ibe able to fit the performance front bumper with the x6m front wings, or are they wider?

Ive seen the following I need this!!!

http://www.gmpperformance.com/index.cfm ... PID=248220

now that means I have to fit the X6M front bumper (I understand I can fit theses without the wings) so do I fit the wings (take off the M badges) or just fit the front bumper along with the performance side skirts and rear diffuser?

I think they're the same, don't look any wider anyway.
Bloody hell its wide enough as it is!  ;D

lol good point, i'll leave the wings as the front lip is about £1700 quid so i'll buy that instead

so now I have decided for

x6m front bumper with the vorstenier lip (BMW also do a performance front carbon lip but i'm not 100% sure on it)
and performance side skirts and rear diffuser

I blame the fourm for making me spend money!

You'll never ever ever be able to blame forums for your spending habits. It's just an addiction and those really deep pockets you have......lol. Usually you would have ordered all the bits by now in waiting for the cars arrival... 8) Your slowing down in your old age... :))

I've got the performance rear lip spoiler and rear screen fins painted up and lacquered ready to be stuck on the  M50d when it arrives next month; along with some nice Hamann pedals :-)
I was also looking at the performance rear diffuser but as I do not yet have a VIN it's hard to tell whether it's a straight swap with the original (or rather whether the 5 piece kit is a straightforward fit - Part 5 is a solitary rivet so I think that's about as straightforward as they come LOL)

lol at Raj..yeah i normally do, the front m6 front bumper and all the bits i need is coming in at about 1300 thats the bumper/ the mesh/and I need to change the rad cowling/rad gasket/brake ducts (not sure why I need the cowling or gasket set as thats coming in at 300 quid) so i'll order it and if I use  them then cool if not then I'll return them.

Roy at CA said 3 weeks wait for the front lip.  I'll order the parts next week

lol at Snipez999 I was thinking of the fins..i'll wait to see what they look like once you have fitted yours, what rear lip did you go for? carbon or painted?

Have had the standard smooth black performance lip and the carbon version on my 40d at one time or another, along with Hamann carbon roof and lip spoilers and finally settled on an ACS whalefin lip (colour coded) - I am quite picky, much to the delight of my bodyshop who keep having to bond, and then somehow remove, them LMAO.
Having now had a chance to test most of the spilers and finishes, I have specced the standard (non carbon) performance lip and fins on the M50d and have had these colour coded (carbon black) and lacquered as I think the almost matt finish of the original fins is a little rough to look at.  Colour coded is more pleasing on the eye.  I went for understated looks this time.....
