I think it is just dependant upon how you use the brakes. Have you measured the remaining pad thickness at all? It’ll probably give you a better idea.

So I serviced my sprinter van yesterday and thought I better reset the service indicator which pops up on the dash, this time I used the steering wheels buttons to reset rather than digging out the diagnostics machine......well I nearly fell over!....msg popped up in the binnacle..."Next service 28,500 miles" :? (no msg pops up when using diags) ...now that is just beyond belief, all this high mileage servicing must be a government conspiracy to kill our diesel & petrol engines off so we scrap them and buy electric :(
