Re: MODS PLEASE STICKY : WARNING - BMW THEFTS - WITH FOB KEYS

I just e-mailed my local dealer this morning and got this reply: I hope you are well? Don't worry! This new type of electronic theft simply didn't exist when these vehicles were designed and developed. All BMW vehicles are built to meet global legislative requirements. However, BMW has always taken ...

Re: Electrically operated tow bar failure

A quick update, the towbar and electrics all work fine. The fridge all works as it should, so the beer and wine will be nicely chilled when I get to my destination! Next stop 286 mile tow down to Cheddar, full report on my return.

Regards

Re: Electrically operated tow bar failure

Hi X5Sport I haven't yet been able to plug into my van yet, that was the next thing, however due to the towbar "misbehaving" I wasn't able to try it out. My car goes into the dealers on Sat 14th April (I work away) Once it is sorted, the following week I shall give it its inaugeral test an...

Re: Electrically operated tow bar failure

Hi Stevee I have it booked into the dealers, they got me try a few things first, but I had tried all of those to no avail already. I suspect it is just one of those "new car" niggles, better for it to happen on the driveway as opposed to being miles away on holiday with my caravan! Thanks ...

Electrically operated tow bar failure

Hi I just wanted to see if anyone else has had any issues with their factory fit electric folding tow bar on E70 LC1 models. My car is March 2012 and whilst demonstrating it to my family, it ceased to deploy! :x It is now stuck half way being neither up nor down! Obviously a visit to my local friend...

Re: Newbie to Xdrivers

Did I say SAS? oops finger trouble.....RAF I meant!

X5 towing caravan with all the gizmos, even under floor heating!

Long way from my days towing a trailer with a tent in a 25 year old LR 110, sometimes getting older has some perks! Roll on March, like a little kid at Xmas now!!!

Re: Newbie to Xdrivers

Thanks for the welcome. I have gone for 3.0SE Space grey met, Media pack, towbar, privacy glass, heated seats, sports steering wheel (loved the feel of that!) pretty much bog standard, have not gone for big wheels for reasons previously stated, was going to upgrade the ICE, but having read all about...
