Hi,
I took out the pollen cab filter on the engine bulkhead,....gently put a piece of fencewire down with a bend 4" from the end.
Could feel the fan vanes,...gave them a wee twirl and the heater seems to be working again ( for the time being)..
Cheers.

I have changed the FSR (hedgehog) but it just heats up when I try the blower on full power to try to kick it away. I see you can access these heaters from ...

Genuine BMW gear oil...price seems too cheap.
I,ve just had my 2005 facelift X5 into the local garage to change my diff oils and transfer box oil. Quite an easy job for them I'd presume as they've worked plenty on my car before and know that I like to keep it running pristine (costly) The job never went as smoothly as expected, BMW (carlisle ...

fitting reverse camera to TV unit in boot
Hi, Just wondering if anyone has fitted a reversing camera, wiring it up to the TV box in the rear boot compartment ? I have looked at a few video's on youtube but cant really see where to plug the wires into the TV module so it goes direct to the screen when reverse is engaged. I can understand the ...

Re: Damned electrics !! satnav /radio/indicators all gone at once !!
I had a wee look for water tracks,.. all pipes are clear,... the only water I could see was a tiny amount on top of the satnav unit,..about quarter of a teaspoon ,... down below in the quarter panel well, there was a tiny bit of moisture, just enough to make the small amount of dust and particles ...

Re: Damned electrics !! satnav /radio/indicators all gone at once !!
It has stopped raining ( Hurrah !! ) Took the spare wheel out and disconnected the battery for an hour. While I was waiting I had a closer look at the satnav unit in the boot and surprisingly it was a little bit wet on top ( where the hell did that come from ?). So I unbolted it and slipped it out ...

Got to laugh,.... but hopefully when it stops raining I can have a look.....
