Re: LED Angel Eyes

I sent them back for a full refund. The seller now has some different design ones so may try them, again i can return for a refund if they are poor too so nothing to loose really.

Will probably wait until after my upcoming oil service though just incase the dealer picks up on them somehow

Re: Does the X6 have a handheld torch?

Do you have details of the correct item for the X6 please? Is it meant to fit in that slot in the glovebox or somewhere else?

Does the X6 have a handheld torch?

Hi all

Does the X6 have a handheld torch as standard? There's a small pocket inside the glovebox but nothing in it and no mention in the owners manual.

I'm considering getting a Maglite to have in the car but wondered about the LED torch that BMW offer hence my question.

Thanks

Carl

Re: LED Angel Eyes

Fitted them today, was a royal pain because the heat shrink catches on the sidewall of the bulb holder so had to grind half of the edge away before the bulb would locate to turn and lock. Finally got them in and they are crap, very dim, my GP Thunder 7500k superwhite halogens at £15 are much better....

Re: First Aid Kit Help

Yeah i have a large cubby area there with nothing in too, i wondered what that was for. My handbook doesnt even show it and has the first aid kit wrapped behind the warning triangle behind the left hand trim panel.

Glad i asked, would have been looking for an L shaped one going by that info  :))

First Aid Kit Help

Hi all I want to buy a first aid kit for my 2009 35d as I don't have one (BMW dealer didn't replace it) and having seen the handbook it looks as if its in a plastic and shaped box that sits behind the warning triangle but all the ones on eBay are cloth bags. Don't want to pay rip of dealer price so ...

Re: Rear door window smashed!

If it were me id want compo not just the insurance excess. You cant tell em they didnt know they did it, more like they saw what they did and fu*ked off sharpish. Demand some compensation for the glass inside the car, the time taken having it fixed and the fact they werent even good enough to tell y...

Re: How Detectable Is A Remap?

I decided against the map. Cant be chewed with local stealer giving me problems come warranty time, its one of the main reasons i bought through the main agent network so it would be foolish to void it through my own doing.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Re: How Detectable Is A Remap?

Thanks pvr, i thought so and even a tech at my local dealer said be careful when i asked him about it but the seller of the map suggested i could remove it and it wouldnt be detectable.

I wont go any further with the purchase  ;)

How Detectable Is A Remap?

Hi all Am considering a remap for my 2009 X6 35d, one that can be uploaded via the ECU and taken off again the same way. Will BMW still be able to detect that its been mapped when reading the key during service etc even if the map has been removed and original programme put back on or is it invisibl...

Re: How Often Do Micro Filters Need Changing

3 times i had to explain that i lived 4 hours away. Finally at my request he went to see his manager to see what he could do then came back and said "bring it in we will do it free".

At that i just are you kidding me or something  >:(

Local dealer couldn't do enough to help.
