The dog guard is still available. I didn't have a dog, but it was good when carrying bigger items in the back, as I always worried about doing an emergency stop and being brained by something flying from the back.

You don't need to have a dog !  :xmasgrin:

1500 miles in the 3 weeks I've had it - I'm really liking not visiting the pumps so often, still like driving it, I may well be back, but not for a while yet  :xmasgrin:

I just traded in my 35d for a shooting brake. A different kettle of fish entirely, but a lovely smooth and quiet place to be after the crashy ride of a sports suspension equipped X.

I had a look at 19'' star marked non- RFT. The front RFT has a load rating of 107, but the star marked non-RFT fronts only have a rating of 103, which I understand is a difference of 100kgs !  Given that the E70 needs fronts with a 107 load rating, 103's don't meet the spec. I had the g/box, diffs and transfer box fluids changed on mine at 70k. Made a difference to the smoothness of the changes.
