Re: seat belt return mechanism 2004 E53 X5 3.0 d Sport
I cured this by pulling the seatbelt right out and spraying silicon on the belt, do this a few times and it gets back into the mechanism.

It will only be used for web browsing/Facebook etc although I suppose I can always borrow it to watch...

Re: Finally some pics of my new motor
I wish i had pics of some of my previous cars especially my old e30 325i sport, i also had an e36 328i sport, and 330i sport's in both coupe and touring. My old vr6 was a lovely motor and one of the last on a 98R but was let down by being fairly low spec with no leather or air con but on the plus si...

Re: Finally some pics of my new motor
A go cart is certainly not a bad description apart from a go cart is probably quieter
It is absolutely nothing like my old vr6 though as i always found that quite a lazy underpowered soft drive whereas this thing couldnt be more different in fact this thing actually feels a bit mad![Driving :driving:](./images/smilies/smilie_driving.gif)

Re: bike skills
Amazing, if someone told me 25 years ago when I was riding bmx that these sort of things were possible in the future I would never have believed it.

Re: 4.6iS - leather/cloth seats.
I have had 1/2 leather in a couple of my old cars and although it isn't normally as desirable I have always liked them better than full leather.

Re: bank transfer advice
Well I am now the owner of an r32. Definitely going to be a love and hate thing, love the exhaust sound but do find myself thinking shut up at times, love the gearbox but also missing the auto and keep trying to put it in gear without the clutch and keep forgetting the handbrake and trying to start ...

Re: 2004 4.4 sport in for inspection II - gearbox query
Not sure what difference if any it made but my x had had the transfer box fluid changed by the main dealer before I bought it and I had absolutely no gearbox issues in the 13 months of ownership other than the usual dropping down a couple of gears when touching the brake whilst going down hill. I ha...

Re: bank transfer advice
As far as the transfer goes I guess i will have to keep my fingers crossed. The bank and 2 dealers I have spoken to all advised bank transfer as the safest way so I guess I have done the best I can under the circumstances. As far as fraud goes I suppose that could be argued whichever way I had accep...
