Re: bank transfer advice

Well I have just got back from a test drive in an r32 and all I can say is WOW what a motor. I was allowed to take it out by myself and the dealer actually encouraged me to put it through it paces and pointed me in the direction of a quiet stretch of dual carriageway so I could give it a thrashing. ...

Re: bank transfer advice

I had a rusty booted and rear arches on my old vr6 and a quick look shows that it is still the bootlids that are rusting again.
Off to see an r32 tomorrow so will have a good idea of what they are like in the flesh, hopefully I won't be disappointed.

Re: bank transfer advice

Normally i would have agreed with you and i still do to a certain degree however all of the reviews of the st-3 are positive. Other than image i cant really see any other advantage that the golf has over the focus other than the 4wd which can be troublesome anyway, even the build quality on the st-3...

Re: bank transfer advice

Well i have now spoken to my bank and they said that the best way for me would be if he were to turn up with cash and then me take him into my bank to check and count it and make sure it is in my account before releasing the car although they also said that isnt really fair expecting him to travel a...

Re: bank transfer advice

Aha I always thought a bankers cheque was as good as cash so that's an eye opener. He is going to ring me again on Monday as I asked him to try and get cash if possible but will give my bank a bell and discuss a transfer in the meantime as I suppose I can always ring them to make sure that the money...

bank transfer advice

I have taken a deposit on my motor tonight and the guy asked if i would be prepared to do a bank transfer to make things easier for him so that he doesnt have to mess around dealing with large amounts of cash. I have only ever dealt in cash so know nothing about how bank transfers work, are they a s...

Word of advice though mate, if you are looking into an x5 as you want something more economical then you are going to be very disapointed ;)

Re: valuation advice

The service history is a mix of main dealer and a couple done by a supplying dealer. Not too fussed this week as i have several things going on that would be very difficult if i were to sell it as i need a car. If i get no interest at all this weekend then i will probably drop to a fixed 10k next we...

Re: valuation advice

Well it certainly does not seem to be the best time to be trying to sell an X, only had one bit of interest so far which came to nothing as he was based too far away.
Looks like i am going to have to drop the price next week although i dont think it is badly priced anyway

Headlight problem

Went through mot on Monday with no problems but just went out and found that the headlights won't come on until you are moving whether in auto or manually switched on. As soon as you drive off they come on but turn off again when you stop although the angel eyes do remain on. Any ideas, no faults ar...

valuation advice

Without a doubt I will still be hanging around here because it is nice to be part of a mature forum where everyone gets on, I am a member on plenty of other forums that are almost playgrounds such is the behaviour of other members. Cars that I am considering are indeed type r civic although I feel t...
