Re: Rear X5 badge ON or OFF ??
I did try to word my post to avoid controversy. It's not meant to cause worry. I have had several BMW's most 'approved used' and because I'm a sad OCD type, I like to clean behind my number plates! I have therapy, and counselling for my weird cleaning habits! Still on all my BMW's ...

Re: Opinions or possible rear light mod
The right one for me (i.e. only tinting the red part). However, I'm afraid to say, I'm also with many of the others here I wouldn't go for completley black, more of a subtle tint / darkening would look classier.

Re: Rear X5 badge ON or OFF ??
Looks much nicer debadged - I've debadged all my cars looks so much neater.
Doesn't matter what people think, I prefer the cleaner lines without them and also much easier to wax without!

Re: Over indulgent dad
I've got a few plates myself (4) and my wife has one. I did buy one for my daughter when she was a week old (she's only 5 1/2 now!) and got one for my niece when she was 1 (she's 16 now). My other daughter (2 1/2) doesn't have one though as I still can't find anything suitable for her. I really ...

Re: Badges
Exactly - polish the area afterwards and job done. Want photos? Can take some as I go along. You just need to be careful when taking them off - when you pull on one corner of the lettering the other end could dig inwards towards the paintwork (as it's foam backed). The floss is a ...

Re: Sun blinds
I've got a set for the Mini, and accept the disadvantages - but then I bought them to give extra shading for the little one and so they should not be needed in 'damp' weather - in theory anyway. They aren't perfect, but a lot better than the Halfrauds etc specials, but at £30 a set ...

Re: Badges
Anyone know why some x3 have badges on and others do not is it model specific, just wondered, My x3 does not have any.
As others have said it's 'model designation deletion' or also known as debadged - very popular in Germany. I prefer the look of the cars this way too ...

Re: Sun blinds
What about Windowsox as an alternative? Richard
Ooh, good question! I've had Windowsox before and they're also pretty good, again you can open the window when they're fitted and they're easily removable. The disadvantages with Windowsox (in my opinion): 1. Only available ...

Re: Sun blinds
I've had these blinds before for an E60 5 Series and they're great and pretty well made. Good value, especially when you buy them 'on offer' as per the link. Some friends and family have also bought them for their cars as an alternative to tinted windows. A couple of points: 1. These blinds are ...

Re: Newbie from South Bucks
Thanks Richard - appreciate the positive comments :) The other one I looked at but missed out on had a mega spec with the rear entertainment system, heated rear seats, head up display, soft close doors etc. Unfortunately the colour combination was Black with Black leather and it didn't have the wood ...
