Estoril is probably my all time favourite colour! Land rover copied it with Monte Carlo blue but discontinued it in 2004 - obviously not everyone's bag...

Cleaning tips

Ok, I'm REALLY anal with cleaning my car. I've had four or five attempts at a valet so far but keep finding things that take hours to sort out. The biggest problem has been tar, with hundreds of spots all over the body. I've been using autoglym tar remover but its frankly shite, and hard work. Has a...
Good to see you giving your fellow X5ers a bad name by bumping it up the kerb! I did that once in a loan V8 cayenne. The pedestrian actually spat at it!!!
Ha  :)) the previous owner bumped it up the kerb, it's one of the auto trader pics. I took the one where it ...

New to me 3.0d se

Hi all. Sorry, not my first post!  This is my first e70 (had 4 e53's) and love it so far. Bit disappointed with fuel consumption  but ordered a chip box which in my experience improves things a bit (I know that will upset you remappers!) ill report back when it's fitted http://i49.tinypic.co...

Car tax

Anyone know what the e70 rules are? I have a 2007 3.0d se that was reg on 7/9/07. According to parkers cars reg after 3/9 attracted the lower tax of 270 (ish) but mine has the big tax fee at 470.

I think the build date for mine was July. Anyone got the definitive?

Hi all sat nav problem solved

Hi all, just bought a 2007 x5 3.0d with a small fault and thought I'd share what turned out to be a cheap solution! The sat nav doesn't work in my car (doesn't recognise the disc) google, and websites like this revealed that this is a common fail as the anti vibration gel hardens on the DVD head. Lo...
