Re: X6 or X5 Residuals

Thanks Guys for your comments. I think I would want is the X6 as there are less about. I like the looks of both, but the X5 has all the options you would ever want (so I would miss them)2 The nail in the coffin for the X5 was going to be that its trade value was 3 k less than for the x6, but the tra...

X6 or X5 Residuals

if you were mainly interested in Residual value in 12 months time and you had £27k to spend would you buy a very high spec 2010 X5 35dSE or a medium spec  2010 X6 3.0d. I have to decide by tomorrow, so welcome your thoughts. I asked a salesman at a dealer and he said, go with the X5 as there is more...

Re: TV function, will it be digital or analogue ?

TBH, I am not completely sold on it as it might not hold value too well as the new model becomes available, so I am also looking at X6's as I like the look also  8). I only tend keep cars for 12 months so future residual values are also important to me . I could get similar age but lower spec 3.0d X...

TV function, will it be digital or analogue ?

Hello all,

Can anyone please help and tell me if a Jan 2010 registered X5 which is on a 59 plate in the UK will have digital or analogue TV if it has the "TV Function" as one of it's optional extras ?

Thanks very much

Re: BMW Finance rate for buying used car

yeah, not quite 50% upfront. It is £174 upfront and then £150 come payback time.

Thanks Reggie, that is what I was thinking, but will be a little embarrassing  O:-)

shall I go for 3 or 4 years term? think that 4 years means as little interest as possible on payback. Is that right?

Re: BMW Finance rate for buying used car

I got 850 quid off price and also a 2nd year warranty thrown in plus Scotchgaurd paint interior treatment

£325 total charges (50% upfront)

Well spotted Barney. Yes, I didn't buy that one in the end, it is your fault  actually :)

I think it is back up for sale now.

Cheers

Re: BMW Finance rate for buying used car

I should have explained, I don't have a choice, as they are only going to give me a discount on the car if I use their finance. I have them down to 4.6% flat which is about 9%APR for the loan. The idea is to pay off within a few months, I just wondered if this % here for a used car purchase was comp...

BMW Finance rate for buying used car

Guys, Am buying a car using a BMW loan (buying car as used from a main dealer (£10k loan over 3 years), quick question is that the finance guy is only going to 9.7% APR. Can I get him down any more? He seems to be digging his heals in when I ask him for a reduction. Any help on rates achieved recent...

Would you buy your X6 again, if you had the benefit of hindsight?

As per title really. just wondered if you are happy with the ownership or is the car too impractical for its size?

What are your thoughts?
If you would buy it then what do you like most about it?

Re: New SE London owner of an X5 3.0SD

Barney,

What are some of the things that I should ask about or watch out for on this X5 that you saw in the cars you looked at but didn't buy?
Thanks

Steve
