Re: Possible battery drain?

Sounds like the "hedgehog" or official name "final stage resistor" issue that I had on my 5 series.

Re: Depo angel headlights?

Having a quick look on the forum regarding the depo lights. I take it these are a straight swap for the standard lights on a pre-facelift to give angel eyes?
But one question. As they are coming from abroad will the beam not be pointing the wrong way?

Re: Typical X5 insurance?

A few tips for folks with older X5s that maybe don't really require fully comp.
rather than going TPFT take fully comp with the maximum excess. You only pay the excess if claiming for damage that you have caused to your own car. You get windscreen cover. And generally you pay a few hundred less.

Re: Greetings pop-pickers!

Well worth doing the bpu upgrade to the Supra. Its transforms it for not much money. A 2JZ engine will easily take 600bhp without doing anything to the internals. Its a true masterpiece of an engine. I think the image of the Supra is coming full circle as "Chavs" can no longer afford to ru...

Re: Insurance

I envy you. I was just £545 with Elephant. I didn't pay that much with a 450bhp rwd Toyota :s

Hi folks

Hi I'm off on the train from Glasgow to Coventry on Saturday to pick up my first X5.  I have had loads of powerful Jap stuff in the past, then saw the light and got my first BMW 3 years ago.  A manual E39 530D.  Decided it was time to move up another 2 cyl and I'm picking up a 4.4 V8 with a BRC lpg ...
