I've had plenty of problems with my BMs. My 530d, my M5 and now my 4.8is, but BMW assistance have been superb in all circumstances. Just the dealers themselves need to buck up their ideas sometimes.

If you are taking it into the dealer to check ensure before hand they aren't going to charge you if it's not an issue or not going to be sorted under the warranty. If the module is a problem then it will be covered.

As above, when I changed my reverse bulbs to bright white jobbies, I just carefully used a flat head scrwdriver to release the plastic panel. It's very straight forward.
