Its confirmed chain issue. Possible slip rather than snap.
It does have FULL BMW history up to the last one, which was performed by the dealer I purchased it off in Sept 2017.

Just noticed that the drivers side headlight washer is not quite right. It still works but when squirted a tube pops out and water just pours on the floor. Is this a simple diy fix? My car only came with one key. I've looked into getting a spare but they are over £200! Looking through the bits and bobs draw and found a key from my old 1 series. It's the same style key, could it be reprogrammed to use with my X5?
