I had already seen your artwork - read through most of the posts, especially on 'how to'
Hope to have a replacement unit by the time the lights fail, otherwise I will have to invest in a Dremel !

What do you recommend - petrol or electric ? ;)

A bit poor to go to a main dealer, at the mo, was looking to do it myself.
Mostly only oil and filters.

But be honest, it would be you in the box !

Hi'

I am not even getting as far as the flashing lights and it looks like the button has a problem.
I am not even able to 'wipe' the old ones as I cant even get into the mode.

Hi Sid 10, Have you done any voltage checks ? should be about 14v dc across the battery when the car is running to show the alternator is good. I have a Volvo with similar woes, has cost a new battery and alternator so far and still not sorted proper. Battery should be about 12.3 or higher when stop...

X5 - newbie in suffolk

Hi Everyone, Just recently joined the site and have been looking over a lot of the stuff on the X5 (E53). I have, and have, a couple of niggles with the car so a lot of the stuff is handy to know. I havnt done the BMW drivers course yet so not much good at Tailgating Audis, overtaking on blind bends...
