Re: What should be in my boot?

Looking again, even with the towing eye in place, it seems like there should be something else in there - see the three clips marked below: what are they for??

Update: Just rechecked mine. Your towing eye is missing!  Unless it's somewhere else in the boot?  I had mine nicked by a recovery firm on my E53!

Re: What should be in my boot?
That looks complete.  Under your F.A.K. should be the polystyrene holder for your towbar swan neck. Richard
Complete?  Really? What about the clips and empty recess next to the wheel nut? Mine was not a factory fit tow bar - so no holder I'm afraid!  Hence ideas ...

Westfalia detachable towbar

Anyone have the Westfalia detachable tow bar (same as OEM)?  What do you do with the swan neck when it's removed?  I've tried to make a foam insert for the under floor boot cubby, but it looks a but rubbish.  Any other ways to nicely store it?  What was the factory solution?
Tread carefully with aftermarket AE kits. I have not seen one yet that looks as bright as the stock ones. Well, perhaps I have, but did not notice it because it was bright. OTOH I have seen many aftermarket kits that look like dooky (a technical word).
So do...

Re: Angel eyes upgrade - what headlights do I have?
No beam height adjuster on the dash light panel is a giveaway.  You also get a 'flash' then the lights warm up when switched on.  Another clue is the presence of danger signs under the bonnet by the headlights as the operating arc ignition voltage is several thousand volt...

Angel eyes upgrade - what headlights do I have?

I'd like to upgrade my DRL angel eyes to whiter after-market bulbs.  Question is, how do I work out what type of bulls I need?  I assume I have Xenons, but how do I confirm?  If that's correct - are these OK? : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380760141503?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3...
