E70 strange noise
Afternoon Suddenly started getting this strange whine type noise from the car Seems to be coming from the rear, or from somewhere behind back of front seats back. It does it if car is in drive or coasting, from about 15mph up in speed, car is completely fine in all other ways, no grinding or anythin...

Interior swap
Been thinking of swapping my 7 seat interior out, I currently have oyster and having young children climbing all over it, it’s hard to maintain, looking to swap to black, same sports seats etc. My question is does anyone know if the seats from the f15 are a direct swap? The mountings etc look identi...

Re: Pan roof problem
I bet that’s a bit of relief
Apart from the obvious, that wrap looks like it’s been done really well, hopefully the paint underneath is all good and no nastys!

Re: Pan roof problem
The new pictures seem to look more like it’s painted than wrapped, and as sapphireblack has said, looks like bits of rust and some chipping near windscreen in last pic. The pano glass also looks to be stained, and and the staining seems to be more populated to the centre on the entire roof and onto ...

Re: Pan roof problem
Has the roof by any chance been vinyl wrapped? Not personally seen X models with the roof a different colour to rest of the car from factory? Could be wrong though!

Re: Transmission Problems
Another thing to check is now with the correct tyres on that the pressures are ok, when I checked mine after new tyres the pressures at rear were nearing 6psi over door frame. In over 45 years on the road, I've never had new tyres fitted that were the right pressure. The second thing I do when I ge...

Re: Transmission Problems
I not that long ago changed the transfer case oil, I think it’s on here somewhere, I have a slight whirring noise on mine, which is present in drive or coasting, sounds like a brake whirring noise, not been able to track it. Having changed the transfer oil, I have yet to find a solution to reset ada...

Re: External door handle lights
I had issue similar to this, no exterior lighting working when unlocking etc, mine turned out to be low battery at the end of its life, although my car started fine every time, the car seemed to switch off stuff that wasn’t necessary. I recently changed my battery after many attempts to revive it wi...

Re: Transfer Box Judder
Recently changed my oil after the car started juddering and skipping on full lock, I have * marked all around with nearly 7mm and it progressively got worse over a few weeks, oil change and completely gone, oil was like runny tar that came out, haven’t reset adaptions as of yet, not sure if that mak...

Thanks Alan
That’s good to hear, I have ordered the Yuasa YBX9019 AGM, after hearing the reviews hopefully that will do the job.
Cheers

Battery
Afternoon Can anyone recommend a brand of battery for my 2011 30d? Believe it to be a 019 The battery in the car is struggling now, it’s a bmw battery, not sure if it’s original, but now on a near daily basis keep getting the battery discharge warning, along with some battery related warnings coming...

Re: Transfer box
Finally got this done today! Well it’s one of those jobs I wish I had never started! What an absolute PITA job, language was fruitful! Fill plug is completely blocked by crossmember, had to make my own tool, and then filling back up was a nightmare, need a really small tube, but it’s done! Don’t rec...

Re: Transfer box
Thanks for the reply’s Have investigated this further, and it seems your correct X5sport, the ATC450 does have both fill and drain plugs, and the plug I seem to be able to see clearly is the drain plug, the fill plug is not visible and as such believe it is behind the crossmember, going to have a pr...
