AddBlue consumption
My 3.0d SE consumes AddBlue at the rate of approx. 1 litre per 1000miles, some of which was towing a caravan, if this makes any difference. Is this normal or excessive?

Re: Towing Mirrors.
My mirrors came from BMW Gloucester and were £120.00 ish, very well made but over priced and not worth the money, but they fit. To prevent possible loss I have fitted the rubber strap that was on my previous mirrors, that now hooks over the top of the mirror housing, and locates with a small bar o...

Re: Towing Mirrors.
I purchased a pair of genuine BMW F15 X5 mirrors from Cotswold BMW, Gloucester. I was still unhappy with the way that they fitted, clamped to the lower edge of the mirror housing, so I have added the rubber straps from my old towing mirrors which makes the fitting much more secure. these straps p...

Re: X5 (F15) m sport factory fitted tow bar
As stated, the fridge feed and it's earth are missing, but it goes deeper than that, 'cos when the BMW dealer does the job, FoC, :) :) they also stop the reversing sensors seeing the trailer, enable indicator warning and other bits that I cannot remember at present. I do remember that there was no ...

Re: F15 Tyre Valves
It looks to me that your non standard wheels have got thicker castings in the rim area, that's why the original valves don't poke through enough. :-[

Re: Vibrating steering wheel
It sounds to me like you have the warning for wandering out of the lane you're traveling in .you should have a couple of yellow lines on the dash, between the speedo and rev counter, when it is switched on. To switch it off, there is a round button below the hazard flasher switch. It only works abov...

Re: Power Folding Mirrors
So far as I can remember, power folders were an option when I purchased mine in September 2014, however I think they also came as part of the" Comfort" front seat option which I opted for.

Re: parking release tool
Hi X5Sport, Thanks for all that info, re. the last paragraph where park re-engages after 15 minutes, could this be prevented by disconnecting the battery, also, you mentioned emergency handbrake release, is there a way, as there's no mention in the handbook ?? Regards, Barry.
