Re: Battery Charger Advice
Does anyone know if the 12v sockets (either in boot or the cigar lighter) remain live or on once the car is locked, or if it is like the Webasto on my old E53 which wouldn't work below 11.5V?

Re: Boot liner / mat
I've got the semi-rigid type of liner in our 7 seater-£20 off fleabay, just leave it in garage for the 20 days a year we use the 7 seats. The rest of the time the comfort factor of having that 2" lip round the boot is worth it. I once had a carton of milk leak onto the carpet of a car & can still ...

Re: Bike racks X5 E70
New fixed Witter towbar - £400 fitted & 4 bike carrier @ £130 = massive saving on alternatives, i've also found that having a fixed towbar visible at the back means you don't get people parking right up your a***, no idea why!

Re: Bike racks X5 E70
I use the towbar mounted Halfrauds 4 bike carrier, check the price in comparison to the rest!!!!!!! Excellent reviews on the MTB forums, I've had it for 2 x5s now, with no issues, about 6 mins to fit tow bar and 4 bikes. Another advantage of this type is you can stick it in the boot when you are off ...

Re: bmw scanner v 1.4.0
Does anyone know if this scanner can be used to reset the dash service lights. I've tried all the solutions available on google, the dash comes up with all the menu options while going through the steps but when switched on again the service lights are on again.:headbang: I was hoping the scanner ...

Re: Adding telestart t91
This is in reply to my earlier post, I've got the T90 for VW group, ( considerably cheaper - this might be the reason why) its only got 5 wires coming from the unit, which terminate in 2 plugs with 3 wires common to each. See attached pics of the innards of the T90. Has anyone got any idea which VW ...

Re: Running Boards...cleaning pitting
I did the boards on mine last autumn around 10,000 miles ago & they are still looking ok. 1) Pulled all rubber plugs using U shaped trim remover. 2) Rubbed down with Auto sol metal polish. 3) 2 coats of Poorboys wheel sealant. ( It was recommended in the detailing bit of the old forum) Its lasted ...

Re: Adding telestart t91
