Always best to have a partner/neighbour or a friend with you when they are supposed to arrive to keep an eye on everything going on while your busy, understand you were unable to in this case, at least you know about this sort of scammer, alot of sellers dont and get ripped off, theres no doubt this ...

High Rate of Battery Discharge Error
Had this problem, so I unplugged the IBS which also disables the stop/start which I like
, havent had any problem with the battery or any electrical gremlins...unplugged over four years ago, yes still get the code if scanned, but I know what it is......

Been a few times myself as said pretty easy, just keep in the rails or you find yourself bouncing about on the side walls of your tyres and there are a couple of bits that stick out halfway down the carriages on one side so wise to fold your mirrors in when you get to them, I was in my X6 so a bit ...

If its the oem BMW ones you can ring your local dealer parts dept and supply VIN etc and they can get you a new one, did it a few years ago, it only took two days for a new one to arrive.

Thats very strange my 6 series is a 2013 and Ive been through all of the above mentioned from BMW's website and there's no service history in my idrive :tumbleweed:
Update: service history in idrive on the 6 series didnt come in til 2016... :roll:

The foam in the seat is a molded one piece foam as in the link below,I suppose you could undo the leather and fill it a bit....

If I were you, I'd just whip the manifold off and get rid of the flaps, you will need to purchase the delete kit, plenty on flea Bay :) , its not a bad job takes about 1hr ....one thing the nuts on one side of the manifold are easily dropped so undo them to nearly the top the use a magnet to unscrew ...
