Re: 30D super low fuel efficiency, why bruv?
Its the reading from the computer... can it be trusted? I do a lot of 1-5 mile trips so wonder if that is a factor.
my fuel economy dips to 31mpg if doing repeated short journeys, as itls a big brute to stop/start. As others have said, you really need to get...

Re: wheels

I changed the summers from Pirelli P zero runflats to Pirelli Rosso P zeros (non rft). The difference is amazing in ride and tyre roar. Did the same on my previous 5 series, so much like the OP prefer non rft's For winter, bought a second hand set and asked bmw to supply/fit the TPMS . Those are 17'...

Re: Wheel Jack

I bought the emergency jack for the current X5. It works perfectly on the F25. I use it to swap wheels in spring and autumn

Re: Bye bye F25 X3, hello G01 X3

Congratulations on the new X3. I took a close look, but for me it wasn't a big enough change to justify a swap.
The design is evolutionary and not revolutionary, hardly suprising as the F25 is a pretty good vehicle. The Audi Q5 went through a similar change last year.

Re: Any gone from a X5 E70 to the smaller X3 F25, are they good cars?

Can't comment on the power as i came from a 2005 530d M Sport to the X30d M Sport, other than it's quicker than the E60, and gives better economy (around 36mpg combined for Central London and motorways). The LCi 2.0d is reported as being more refined than the older unit, but no personal experience of...

Re: 6-disc changer

Only 1 question - why?
You have a single CD player and a USB outlet which recognizes 64GB drives (don't have anything bigger).
Would it not be better to rip all your CD's onto mp3?

Re: Windscreen wiper hitting pillar

When the wipers come up to the max point, there should be a 2 inch parallel gap between it and the pillar. Anything less suggests the wiper arm needs to taken off and moved a cog or two over. Why it would move is anyone's guess?
Could there be an issue with an encoder motor?

Re: Diesel or Petrol X3 G01?

I'm not ready to jump ship from my X30d just yet. She is 3.5 years old and 27k, but i don't see the Euro6 diesels going anywhere. The headlines say dirty diesel, and the smallprint reveals Euro 3,4 and (ULEZ in London 2019) euro5 . The major diesel manufacturers (VW,Ford,GM,MB,Audi and BMW) are stil...

Re: Map upgrade

sorry for the delay, haven't been using the car and navigation much after the upgrade. I have found the system is slower than before, and it takes longer to figure out the route. Most annoying is the first few directions by voice , come after I have passed that junction/roundabout according to the m...

Re: Winter/All Season Tyre Help Please

Thought I had done well with spending £700 for a complete winter setup and 7mm tread all round  :)

I would suggest everyone invest in winter tyres, as the difference in traction is amazing. We have long dark winters in the UK, never mind the "beast from the East" currently being experienced

Re: 19" Star rated non-RFT's on Black Circles

I went to Pirelli ROSSO  P zero's on the X3. They are in affect the non rft version of the original tyres.
Tyre noise and comfort greatly improved in a 3.0d M Sport

Re: Winter Tyre Info and Discussion Thread ( Keep related chat here please)

Many folks assume winter tyres mean snow tyres. They don't. Winter tyres have better traction and increased stopping distance over summer tyres in temperatures under 7 degrees Celsius. I fit them to my X3 and the handling in British wet, icy winter weather is greatly enhanced. Sent from my SM-G930F ...
