Cover Micro Filter.
P/N 6431 8 409 048. Long shot but has anyone got one. Not something you break or loose but I have. Took it off as part of stripping to get at lpg stuff at back of engine. It started to rain and the wind got up, ran for a cuppa and on return it’s gone. Sad story but true.

Interestingly the Alpina is still siting on my driveway. It’s now over a month since the accident so I called yesterday to check what the hold up is and they informed me that they were still waiting for BMW to supply the bits. Assured me that they hadn’t forgot about me.

Before taking the steering bits to pieces some more faults came up. Gearbox says it’s gone to limp mode on instrument cluster although the box is working fine also abs and traction in fact most things are lit up. Diagnostics tells me the brake light switch is not communicating. I have sent for a swi...

Injectors arrived today, easy to fit, warmed up the engine and it switched over fine, idles great drives well but after a few miles the management light came on, maybe it needs to learn again.

Doesn’t seem a bad price Leslie for a used one. Got to decide if I buy before stripping the other one out. Chances are that even when I get mine out there will be no visible indicator that it knackered. Just have the diagnostics fault that there is no commas to the ECU.

Done the checks and no issues, on reading some more the on this fault the favourite culprit seems to be the slip ring? Can anyone point me to the slip ring and especially a part number.

Well at least checking fuse 9 is within my competence level. I’ll also whip out the instrument cluster and check connections. Thanks for taking the time to look at the diagrams.

I looked for a fuse on the chart but none listed. I’ve been thinking about it as the diagnostics said no commas with ECU. Has to be the main ECU as that will control the cruise but that doesn’t explain the radio controls, horn or airbag.

Got the steering wheel off today but everything looks good earths are tight. Diagnostics says steering wheel is not connecting with the ECU. Not to sure what ECU we’re talking about or the solution. Anyway managed to buy the injectors today. Hopeful they’ll be here by the weekend. I changed the temp...

Going to take the airbag of tomorrow and have a look. Does seem electrical as the buttons operate different modules so they haven’t all gone pop.

As above, lost all facilities, no volume control cruise phone. Airbag light on and to add to my misery the diagnostics has packed up. Anyone have any idea, a bit of reading suggests the ignition switch but surely not??

Been having a problem for a while now. So drive of and when car gets to temperature to switch over the engine dies. Switch gas off and engine picks up and drives normal but now have a warning light on. Took it to Dorset LPG for a diagnostics and turns out 4 of the injectors are leaking 1 quite badly...
