Don’t want to put a spanner in the works but I have removed the steering wheel air bag and door bags several times and never disconnected the battery mainly because it is under the LPG tank and therefore a pita. Not recommending it, just saying.

If your battery went flat and then recharged the vehicle will have a multitude of faults stored because of the flat battery which will need cleared before you will have any idea of what the problem is.
