Hi, I had a similar problem, but at lower revs2000-2500. It turned out to be a vacuum hose. It drove to turbo actuator.
BTW, I have a 3.0sd. Worth taking off the engine cover and checking through the lines.
Regards.

Re: new to '06 3.0 SD
Thanks XK for the detailed response - all very helpful and great to know what order you are doing things in. a couple of follow up questions if I may: 1. very interesting about the glow plugs - hadn't thought of that but makes sense. I havne't got my diagnostic kit yet - did you run the diagnostics ...

Re: new to '06 3.0 SD
Hi, I have an 2007 3.0SD, I have had it for around 3 years now. I’ll try to answer your Q’s according to my experience with the car and the mods / maintenance that I have carried out. I’m fortunate to be able to share my driving between two cars, a Jaguar XK8 in the summer months and the X3 in the wi ...

Re: Transfer case fluid change
Hi, I read a few posts on t’web that recommend a transfer box reset (oil change) on ista. Not too sure why, but I guess it’s the difference in wear/slip measurement with old oil and new oil. I will let you know if it has made any difference once it hits the road. Just getting all the jobs done that I ...

Re: Transfer case fluid change
Cheers Matt, I squeezed the be-jesus our of the bottle until the fluid came out of the fill hole. Now to tell the car I’ve changed the oil, via the ista software.
BTW folks, the old oil was nasty, I strongly suggest y’all change the transfer box oil.
Diffs and gearbox will be the next oil changes.

Rear Spring-Favour Please
Hi, I’ve recently renewed my rear springs on my 2007 3.0sd m-sport. Now,there is huge confusion over springs for this m-sport model. I used Kilen 51039, the parts shop assured me they would be the right fit for my suv. They were easy the source and a good price. The job was easy (with two jacks) the ...

I have the same, including a female usb, but it’s connected to my parrot hands free. Could be an old installation.

Re: Suspension help please
Hi, I have one broken spring, but the MOT tester did not spot it. I have been in contact with this Ebay item 350483436747 (search for it) seller. After giving my reg number, they assured me it we he correct one for my car 3.0sd m-sport. I’m going to change both in the warmer spring weather, no pun i ...

Thanks for the opinions, this gives my food for thought. [quote="kkx5"] Uniroyal rainsport 3, the only ones i can recommend for staggered x3 set up. Who's running non BMW star rated tyres
Hi, I'm due all four tyres very soon on my 3.0sd X3. I've read that it's best to buy the Pirelli star rated tyres as are fitted now, or face transfer box noises and faults! A full set for my 19" rims is circa £700 :o from tyre leader. I can get the same size, mid range for half the price. So, ...

Re: x3 2.0d glow plugs and other problems
