Check the temperature settings on the A/C. If you've set high, like 21c or so it may be that.

Also, try turning the A/C off when you start.

Think I will just close my eyes and forget the costs, at least there is an 85l tank, so I can pretend I still have a 60l one

Overall 32MPG, but that was due to steady motorway speed due to traffic, so couldn't unleash as much as I wanted. So pretty pleased.

Graeme, the advice given by BMW was it is not needed for the engine, just be gentle for first 200 miles to bed in brakes and tyres

Such a great car and happy with my choice, no issues but only 250 miles.
It drives sedately, but put it into Spot mode and woosh.
