Not to clever on my feet so can't follow them to fast and the same goes for my wife.
I would trust the car to take me any ware wanted for nothing in the last 15 years i have known the car my m8 had it the first 7 ...

Easy to use and gives you a long list of options you can change by just ticking a box then pressing "ode".

With that adapter you can use Bimmercode the BLE 4.0 that is.
It will also work with diagnostic App's.

Bimmercode is a one off payment same as bimmerlink for diagnostics and i find both work well.
This OBD adapter also works with them.

As above that IBS should have cover.
I think that is your problem it has had a bang as i don't think the cover comes off easily.
Maybe try a second hand IBS or if you know anybody with one you cod try just to test.

Do the memory buttons work for the seats.
If you need a module the range rover uses the exact same part and on that auction site we all know they go for a lot less money.

It was Bosch s5 type 019 i think i put in my old 2002 x5 about 6 years ago.
Might have gone a bit ott with it for my car but it still works spot on.

Strange one.
Never had a problem with the height just one sensor failed.
Changed it and all was well after.
