Why park in D and not P.
I never use the handbrake it's pointless.
Same on my MB and that has the exact same setup drum/disc and the adjuster exactly same.

Mine is 22 and gets everything it wants.
My m8 of 45 years has a garage and any noise or anything i hear gets looked at asap.
But at test time i still panic and deep down i know it will pass i was a tester myself for a long time and check my cars all the time.

Might sound daft but you could try the magic reset.
Disconnect the car battery for 20 minutes then put it back it can sometimes sort things out.
If the battery is in the boot DON'T shut it or bonnet as you won't be able to open it with no battery connected.

As said the 3008 will do the job just connect them up and give it a few minutes to put a bit in the x5 battery.

16 minutes i thought it was to sleep.
But changed a few batteries on bmw and merc's just opened bonnet or boot and in with the spanner job done never any problems after.

That BMW 1.4.0 will do some coding as well but it only works on the older car's.
I managed to code a second hand set of clocks in with it some years back.
Does a lot for the price still got mine some ware.

I think it is telling you to run a wire from the front as the battery is more often there.
Amazon prime for me with bit's like that can always send back what i don't need lol.
