Search BMW transmission reset process. Very simple, ignition on (do not start engine). Throttle to the floor for at least 30secs. Turn off ignition. Take foot of peddle. Leave for around 10 mins before driving again. You should notice the gearbox behaviour changes as it goes back into 'learning ...

My experience would suggest the gearbox software needs a reset - when was the last time the car did a significant mileage journey? The transmission fluid could likely do with a change also.

the navigation screen issue is a widely known problem - the scratches you see are the layer of anti glare which basically rubs off when 'cleaned' if not careful. Do not waste lots of money buying a new screen - removing the screen is easy - there are plenty of videos online which show how but in ...
