Would i compromise anyhing if.........

Aside from the frame that holds the foglamp which predominates the space, i do recall noticing the arch liner on the passenger side.. i think the M50d additional rad is that side? I dont feel inclined to pull these out again unless it was to swap them. Maybe i should just leave them "as is"...

Would i compromise anyhing if.........

The only thing behind the closed trims is obviously the foglights access, and in my case the CANbus adapters for the LED bulbs.

As pattern parts, they're not expensive, i think I'll have a punt for some.

I swapped the solid fog light vents to the open mesh type, principally designed for hotter climate usage? I think the M50d has these for radiator cooling.
Obviously more water will get through them, but i can't imagine that would generate any issues?

Advice on engine failure..

I dont think I'd be driving it anywhere. Surely, for the dealers' own sake, it should be transported away, preferably back to them for a refund.
If you drive it and the enging lets go, it has the potential to become a whole world of pain about liability.

E53 power folding mirrors.. a bit of help required

Its a long time since i delved into these but once troublesome, they become a significant pita. Best way to establish if the large connecter is/isnt for a puddle light is check the lens /bulb in the lower edge of the casing and trace the wiring back. Also check if there's illumination from the mirro...

LED bulbs in the fog/cornering lights

For the possible benefit of others? Having undertaken this 'mod' i was mindful that the car still pinged a bulb out warning on start-up, though self extinguished shortly after. It also pinged on engine switch off. I queried this with Philips 'Lumileds' and they sent me completely FOC what i assume i...

As much as it grieves me, I'm going to roll over and stay with the NFU

Yes i can get cheaper but the savings aren't enough to walk a new unknown path. Frustrating for sure :|

I've just been speaking to M&S insurance following an online quote of £641. (£750 if paid monthly) When you get into the nitty gritty details, having declared a modification by way of a wheels change it topped out at £1100. Are the wheels wider? Yes but BMW wheels are always wider on the rear. T...
