My old Touareg used to show the pressures for each tyre. Was quite handy.

Does anyone know if the security fix BMW applied 2 years ago, has now been exploited or are they just trotting out old news?

I'd check the wheels for the lacquer issue - flaking around the BMW badge in the centre. I've had 3 sets of new wheels due to this!

I wouldn't say mine slams but it's not like a soft close either. Seems to maintain a constant speed throughout and slower than if I did it manually.

Just got a quote the other day for my 2011 X5 40d M Sport and was quoted £1,300 for comprehensive! Still deciding whether to keep it when the 3 year finance is up so didn't take it further but sounds like the £250 excess is the way forward if I do.

Might be worth a quick call to Terry at Elms Cambridge. I and others have had good experiences.
