Well it's a goodbye from me..

Not often you can turn a profit on a 'regular' car so if you're happy all is good 😎

It begs the question in my mind though, why did you buy it?
Just fancied a change lol!

Well it's a goodbye from me..

So after an e70 40d, F15 M50d and then a 6 month old G05 M50d, its time to say goodbye. Car has sat on the drive since purchase in July. Took it into work to do an interim oil change at 9k on Saturday. Thought to myself "love the car, but it's done 950 miles since purchase" and it's has co...

Poor airflow through vehicle?

I've notice that my car (2020 M50d) seems to have a tendency to let the screen mist up much more than my last M50d (F15) or 40d (E70) before it.. So much so, that on a recent 40 mile drive in damp weather, with just two of us in the car, I found myself regularly hitting the screen demist button for ...

Detachable tow-bar recommendations?

Update on this.. The towbar would work fine with a "normal" hitch, but not with the Alko anti snake fitted to our caravan, as it's about 30mm closer to the car than a "plain" hitch. No biggie, carbon trim comes off with 4 screws and have replaced the 2 "bonded" areas wi...

Facelift e70 prices

Personally, I can't see the "bubble" bursting anytime soon - Think about it, all those traders/dealers that have paid top ££ for the stock sitting on their forecourts, are they suddenly going to think - "I know, lets chop a couple of £k off every car" I think not, they can't affo...

X3 2019 DPF replacement

It does make access for removal a LOT easier if the knuckle joint to the rack is disconnected. I presume they have simply not lined it back up correctly, which is a pretty basic mistake, seeing as it's "keyed"

I suspect you've overheated the pump..

I'd leave it overnight to cool down.

Component shortages hitting BMW options

Due to this "shortage" a LOT of options are not available, and indeed have not been available for a good few months. Apparently, BMW are contacting people who ordered new cars upto 12 months ago, and telling them that although the car is now "in build" certain options they origin...

Is 12.5" better than 10.5"

Flirted with this idea a while ago. When i'm back in the UK soon the temptation to upgrade again is strong. X5M missed running in service should I run a mile.

One possibility is that the car hasn't been updated to reflect the online service portal? Lazy techs sometimes do this when in a rush, update online and then not bother doing the car on the basis that "it'll get updated next time it's connected" which is true - BUT if it hasn't been connec...
