I have noticed the jets on the Mrs X3 are aiming very low, not much above the wipers. The question is can they be adjusted? I have looked and there doesn’t seem to be any obvious way, or is it more likely the reservoir needs a clean (I have read several stories about sludge in BMW washer reservoirs)...

An update that comes under the “better late than never” category….

It turns out the switch needed to be replaced (the one under the rubber cover in the boot handle)… relatively inexpensive fix even with the switch from BMW, all works now as it should.

We have been persisting with opening the boot via the fob, but now that appears to have ceased to function as well. Usually when opening the tailgate from the fob there is a nice loud “boom” noise as it activates, now it makes a quiet click noise and does not unlock. As an aside my wife has just men...

Quick update. Downloaded the map version in the link I posted, which took hours and hours for some reason. Uploaded onto memory stick and have now updated into the car which now shows Map version as 2023-1.

Below is a screen shot of the “version” on our 2013 iDrive. Does this show the maps have never been updated since the car was new? Alternatively is it just an indication that the system is from 2013?

Sounds like that would make the whole idea prohibitively expensive, adding that to the cost of replacement seats and fitting
