U joint and centre bearing

I cant see any circlips on u joints but just watched a vid on you tube regarding centre bearing and the fron half of the prop seperates allowing access to bearing

Hi all, iv noticed one of the u joints on the prop has play so im thinking do both and the centre bearing, now how do i take the centre bearing off as there is no nut on the u part to take that off to access bearing

Hi all, just to update i went for 4 yokohama c.drive 2s there getting delivered today and i will fit them next week, so we shall see if they are any good.

Basicly the front prop had been removed by previous owner and the reason is unknown to me why, i have a horrible clunk from the gearbox and think it has sometjing to do with the reason, i dont know if transfer case is shot or working hence why i say rear wheel drive.

In all honesty i cant say ive seen the tank, but looking on realoem it says there is one, i know my old e46 320d had one but that was running the old 136bhp engine. From what i can gather some are electronicaly controlled as opposed to vacuum again could be wrong as still trying to get my head aroun...

I also ha e the same unit by there, but i think it controls egr but it is exactly the same part, the one i question i thought runs off the turbo to the vacuum tank i could be wrong, i need to get the metal under plate off underneath without the bolts snapping to see if i can get a clearer view. All wheels are square just someone removed the front prop at some point in its life and until i build up some more funds im not going to look into why yet. Il will replace all 4 all same brand as at the moment it has 3 of one brand and one different and unfortunetely the odd ones are on the driving ...

me again, so only having rear wheel drive what are peoples thoughts on having star rated tyres on the and non rated on the front aslong as all fresh and within 2mm of each other. Has anyone had any good experience on non star rated?

Its the n47d2 engine. Real oem shows it has one between the turbo and the vacuum tank but the turbo is buried and havnt got much room going in underneath either, will have to just throw my hand in somehow and have a good reach around

does anybody know the exact location of the boost pressure converter ie on top of turbo or underneath, i could do it with my eyes closed on my old e46 but its a little tighter on the x3

Was stated sold as seen its obvious why the more i find, i was never expecting a minter for my budget and im happy t do bits and bobs, its being used as part family car part work horse. I'd rather have the job done and know its fresh and gona last a good while with it being lowish miles for the year...

Ive come off the bypass then after turning left you will be able to hear it, i will try and get under it tmoz as im taking it to b plugged in see what fault codes are stored

Ye inside box, can feel it under my foot by the foot rest. 2.0d manual. No specific gear, notice it when steerilg wheel is turned at lets say 9 oclock or 3 oclock ish, i dont notice it as bad when stationary apart from earlier on the shaker

Hi all i posted earlier about a clunk from under my foot, after having the car on the shaker the clunk is coming from the gearbox, anybody know what this could be, i have done a vid but it wont let me upload it
