Considering the switch from 4.4i to 3.0d

That's some good info above, I have only got 400 miles out of a tank a handful of times. But cost over £120 to do it, that better then a 50% saving. I was booking mine in to be converted with a BRC system, but asked a few questions and was not happy with my reply. They offered to install a lube syst...

supermarket fuel or branded?

She'll club card is doing an offer at the min, put a minimum of 20 litres in and get 250 points. This offer is from 04/01/13 and last 2 weeks, norm petrol is 1 point per litre V power is 2 points. Same for dervs on the points I think, 500 is £2.50 of fuel. If you use shell and don't have a club card...

Because its gas you can only get 80% in they have a cut off value, some thing to do with expansion so you'd get 70-75 litres in.

I was going to book it in mate, but asked a few questions and did not like the reply I got from them. A shame because it was only 20 miles down the road, now it means I would have to travel many more miles I get it done.

Yes mate 5th did it and V power made more horse powers, but only on cars that had an ECU that was cleaver enough to notice the fuel or that could advance timing.

I've been looking in to lpg since a member on here posted his 38mpg on lpg, I got a quote for BRC system and was £1562 plus VAT. Got to be worth keeping the V8 sound track over the sound track of a derv. Positives are you keep your car that you  no, keep the sound of V8 and lower running cost then t...

Considering the switch from 4.4i to 3.0d

I get around 19 mpg out of my 3.0i, but its dropped 2mpg while I have been off for Xmas. TBH I don't think you would see 30mpg out of an X5 dev, others may but I don't think you will. I only got 27-30 out of my 530d on a 02 plate doing the same driving and same route as I do now, so as said you may ...
