Re: Intravee Latest Firmware 6.02-7035

I've set up a DropBox folder into which I'll put Intravee firmware which you can access without joining BMW5. The link is here .  I'll create a new sub-folder for each release which will contain the firmware and various documentation. Newest version is 6.02-7045. Let me know if you have any problems...

Re: Intravee Latest Firmware 6.02-7035

To be quite honest, I don't know exactly what the spec of the second cable needs to be, I've used BMW specific cables but the VAG one may be good enough for the 2nd cable.

I believe it is quite easy to modify the VAG cable to a BMW version.

Re: Intravee Latest Firmware 6.02-7035
Richard, any chance of getting the Auto Close to work on the facelift? It still doesn't work..
As it's not been tried it is disabled for the X5. You could try setting the car type to E38/E39 and see if it works.  It is quite 'fussy', so you would need to make sur...

Re: Intravee Latest Firmware 6.02-7035
One (possibly silly question) - Is it possible to only have these lights come on if its dark? I'm sure the intravee shows the status of the light sensor somewhere. No big deal but for me would be the finishing touch.
It is possible, but there is a big problem. ...

Re: Intravee Latest Firmware 6.02-7035

Not sure why it's not illuminating both top and bottom lights.  It might be possible to send some iBus query commands to the LCM with the side lights on and off to see which I/O bits are sent.  It's probably not too important, just one of those "I wonder why that does not work" little prob...

Do both upper and lower rear lights work, or just the upper ones?

Re: Intravee Latest Firmware 6.02-7035

Try this firmware (hope the link works).

Should enable the lights on pre facelift X5's and at least the top tail lights on post facelifts.

Re: Intravee Latest Firmware 6.02-7035

In 6.02-7041 light control is not enabled for the Pre Facelift X5.  If anyone has a Pre-Facelift X5 could they TEMPORARILY switch the vehicle type to Facelift X5 and check the lights, ideally each light individually on either Entry or Exit.  When done make sure you set the vehicle type back.  Let me...

Re: DRL Coding

The Intravee auto close function has only been tested on E39's, my guess is that it will work on older X5's but maybe not newer ones. It requires Comfort Closing to be coded (press and hold the lock button to close windows and sun roof) and when enabled will allow you to release the lock button afte...

Re: intravee indicator flash help

It's to enable you to cancel the extra flashes, if you indicate in the opposite direction whithin the specified number of flashes then it just cancels the sticky blink feature.  So does flashing the main beam.

Re: SAT NAV Aux Input

Only cars made from September 2002 have the Aux connector behind the monitor.  If your car is a little older (a few months only) then the radio may be capable of Aux, but it won't have the connector behind the monitor you'll have to connect it to the radio itself in the boot.

Re: Front PDC Inner Sensor

Some versions of the 6.02 Intravee firmware had the PDC sensor locations wrong, but the latest on BMW5, http://forum.bmw5.co.uk/topic/75809-fir ... 947/,  has them correct.

NavCoder, INPA and the Intravee all use the same mechanism to display sensor information.

Re: Intravee II and Alpine KCA-420

You can still have a CD Changer with the Intravee if you want, but it needs to be an Alpine AI-Net CD Changer, CHA-S634 etc.  If you want both iPod and CD Changer you'll also need an AI-Net switch (KCA-400c, KCA-410c or Intravee switch).
