Re: Inner rear tailgate led not working

I recently had the same issue the seal around the light was all crusty and cracked. They are easy enough to replace, there are some YouTube guides out there and I got the light from car parts 4 less it was £60ish with one of their discount codes at the time

Re: Dynamic Drive - Do You Use It?

My Mum ordered a new car in September and was told it might be in the country in January if you are lucky so you can probably expect to have it by the end of February! but back on topic I have these various driving mode choices in other cars as well and never touch them, the most i ever do is knock ...

Re: Probably Purchasing a 4.8i - Real Problems?

I went for a 4.8i when i decided to get an X5 again like you I don't do big miles and only fill it up every 6 weeks or so. Even so my ride has not been the smoothest, I took out the BMW comprehensive warranty when i bought the car an it has paid for itself many times over. The thing to remember is t...

AUC Warranty

So I took out the comprehensive warranty just after I got the car and it has been so worth it. It is costing just under £200 a month for my 2007 4.8i. So far in the last 6 months they have paid up for a new bi Xeon, 2 rear air springs a transfer box and front diff So that is worth a few years warran...

Re: Bluetooth Music Connectivity

I had the same issue, and it isn't as seamless as the later BMWs but I just use a Bluetooth adapter and stream via the aux input. It doesn't do the full integration but does the job if you organise your playlist

Re: Is anyone concerned about going deisel ?

I must admit I am a petrol owner, I'm not anti diesel, my wife drives a diesel car as she does 18K per year but i do so few miles that i only fill up the car every other month so I may as well enjoy the V8 for what it costs me to run. One thing to consider especially on cars like X5 is that the majo...

Re: Luggage cover

Thanks guys I have taken the plunge and have one on the way. I thought I had found one at the end of last week but when the guy can around with it it was about 2 inches too wide even though he was convinced it was for a E70. Unfortunately I don't have the fixing points for the net in the roof which ...

Luggage cover

When I bought my car the retractable cover for the boot was missing. I am looking for a replacement and was wondering if the parcel shelf is common to all models? (I know there are two styles one with the load guard net and one without). My car has the extra row of seats so just want to make sure th...

Re: Replacing the battery

[quote="Nictrix"] It looks like I will be buying a battery in the next few weeks/months as the battery warning light shows up if listening to the radio with the engine off after only a couple of minutes. Eurocarparts price seems to be £350 before any discounts, but for the same battery fro...

BWM Used Warranty is it covered

The generic warranty that my car came with is about to expire and it is not particularity that good either in what is covered. I am seriously thinking of taking the plunge on a BMW used warranty just for a year until i see how the car behaves. One of the main reasons is that i am having an intermitt...

As soon as I started the car the car came up with a load of errors most of these I could clear but I am stuck with one now showin...
