I had a set of Ferric grey wheels on my E53 they were the best colour for the car although it was black !
Have you thought about changing the wheels ? Have my old winter wheels for sale .( pm for pictures )

Hi I have had most makes of tyres over the years on my now sold E53 X5 2004 30d Sport , I bought the car 16 months old with 16k on the clock changed the tyres to Michelin all round which lasted 16k , moved on to Continentals SSR runflats on X6 alloys 12k , another set of Continentals 12.5k , Bridges...

Any one ever changed the hubs to X6 ? surely this would be a better solution ? or wheel spacer adapters .

hi they are usually 325/30/21 rears , 285/35/21 fronts , BMW recommend that you stick to runflats as usually they dont supply a spare wheel , the wheels are also that big they are better being changed at a tyre dealers so that you can drive to them on the runflats . You could always buy some 20"...
