Re: Give me head!
My 4.4 was converted before I brought it but all the paper work shows it was done in 2004 at 38030 miles by AFS in Billingshurst Sussex. After buying it I had them service the system and they upgraded the injectors, this was the first time they had seen the car since conversion (great guys by the wa...

Re: general grabber UHP 19''
In answer to the questions AW8 1. When I brought the car it was running on Cooper Zeon's they were worn and on muddy tracks there was a lot of slip and wheel spin. The UHP's are noise rated at 79 Db which seems to be not far away from any other tyre's for the X5, certainly in use on the Motorway wit...

Re: general grabber UHP 19''
I put grabber 19" UHP's on last November after a friend with a Disco recommended them. They have impressed me, reasonably quiet at Motorway speeds (well I don't think they are any noisier than the tyres that were on it) and they have coped with the mud, snow and everything else this winter brou...

Re: North South debate
One reason I ended up buying the X5 (owned it a year this month) was on average it was almost £2k down on other marques Merc ML, Range Rover, Landcruiser, Cayanne etc. Initial thoughts were a RR or Disco it was my wife who had seen the X5 at a local car sales so we went to look/try. This is the firs...

Re: 4.6is - decided to LPG convert
Raj don't worry about the valves. The 4.4 I have was converted before I brought it at 38776 miles (all the receipts were with the car) when I got it mileage was 81270 now it is just over 90k. The company that did the original install are only 10 miles from me and when I brought the car I took it to ...

Re: 4.6is - decided to LPG convert
Aaron it just got betterhttp://xdrivers.co.uk/forum/Smileys/xdrivers-smiley/laugh.gif Absolutely nothing wrong just had it MOT'd no advisories so a real bargain and the LPG a bonus. The main thing is as far as I can tell it having LPG made no difference to the price when I brought it. So if your buy...

Re: 4.6is - decided to LPG convert
Actually Don makes a very good point about resale value when I was looking to buy we looked at several marques. We had sold our Horse Lorry as it just wasn't being used enough and brought a horse trailer, we needed something with a towing capacity of 2t + with 4 wheel drive as we both have other car...

Re: 4.6is - decided to LPG convert
My 4.4 was converted when purchased all the paperwork was with it and the installer who did the conversion is only 10 miles away from me and still going strong. I had it serviced just as a precaution (£93.00) and it hasn't missed a beat (tempting fate now). As I understand it LPG has a lower calorif...

Hi Everyone
Hi all, Just found the site and signed up. I have a 4.4 Sport X5 that I have owned for about 9 months now and I am really enjoying it. Originally the car was brought to pull a horse box and would get low usage. However the car is LPG converted, shooting is one of my hobbies so last year I took it on...
