Have a look at the Pelican site, it is an American site, but covers a lot of BMW repairs.

Hi Leslie,
Just a thought,(bet you have already ) can you not repair the plastic with a soldering iron that will melt and stick back together, or rivet / bolt a patch over split, or fibre glass a patch ?
Just my twopenny worth.
You have a spare, unless thrown away to play with.

EGR Fault

Hi Leslie,
With lpg there is so much more to dismantle with pipework, electrics etc. Of course with such a long plug change interval, I forgot what had to be removed, dismantled etc. Being retired and having time on my hands there was no reason to rush it, just enjoy !!!!!

Bmw X1 2013 20d xdrive Automatic / Strange Noise and Sudden Low MPG

If you have never seen a diesel engine runaway have a look on youtube under d e runaway, had a forklift truck do it, frightened me to death. caused by customer over filling engine with oil, only way to stop it was putting a towel against air inlet, still quite a dangerous thing to do as the engine c...

I think it is recognised that lpg gives a 10% reduction in mpg and top speed over petrol, but considering the cost of lpg per litre to petrol ,it is still a good bet. Remember the fuel is lpg a gas, and petrol is droplets of fuel. Can be seen on oil change, where lpg vehicles can safely double times ...

Dreaded Trans Failsafe mode

My 2002 4.4 constantly throws this warning if I start the car in Park, so I always start in neutral and do not get '' trans fail safe'' showing.
I did have the auto gearbox oil and filter changed about 3 months ago and it did not cure the problem.

Was a serious problem with the Ford Transit as the tie rod from left to right sat behind the front axle and frequently when tow rope was looped over the axle the tie rod was looped as well.
I used to own an Express delivery co. and had several dispute with recovery companies who did this.
