Have just bought off ebay :2 x 20 litre Unipart 5w/40 fully synthetic, ACEA3, Bmw longlife 04 engine oil for £65 per 20 litre.

Hi Leslie,
Just a thought,(bet you have already ) can you not repair the plastic with a soldering iron that will melt and stick back together, or rivet / bolt a patch over split, or fibre glass a patch ?
Just my twopenny worth.
You have a spare,unless thrown away to play with.

Hi Leslie,
With lpg there is so much more to dismantle with pipework, electrics etc. Of course with such a long plug change interval, I forgot what had to be removed, dismantled etc. Being retired and having time on my hands there was no reason to rush it, just enjoy !!!!!

Ye gods, what a tale of woes !! I really feel for you, I have a 2002 4.4 l petrol/lpg and am really pleased I don't get the problems that some diesel cars throw. I have just changed my spark plugs and that took me best part of 30 hours !! thank ye gods won't need doing for at least another 60,000 mi...

I think it is recognised that lpg gives a 10% reduction in mpg and top speed over petrol,but considering the cost of lpg per litre to petrol ,it is still a good bet. Remember the fuel is lpg a gas, and petrol is droplets of fuel. Can be seen on oil change, where lpg vehicles can safely double times ...

Nowadays they do a fancy digital battery check not a drop test, not convinced by the digital meter test, as my last battery was shown as ok by digital, but failed drop test.

My 2002 4.4 constantly throws this warning if I start the car in Park, so I always start in neutral and do not get '' trans fail safe'' showing.
I did have the auto gearbox oil and filter changed about 3 months ago and it did not cure the problem.

My 02 4.4 (120k) passed mot on Monday, had done 320 miles passed year, funny how they find different advisories between different examiners each year !!.

Was a serious problem with the Ford Transit as the tie rod from left to right sat behind the front axle and frequently when tow rope was looped over the axle the tie rod was looped as well.
I used to own an Express delivery co. and had several dispute with recovery companies who did this.
